“Creation of “Le Temps du Tendre” for Les Ballets de Monte Carlo. Heuristics of love, inspired by Madame de Scudéry’s carte de tendre.
This is also why Le Temps du Tendre is a piece that claims the right to be a contemporary ballet, albeit one from the 20th century (but far from Béjart), which recomposes that of previous centuries. Our vision is of a history of ballet without breaks, from the Baroque to the present day.”
“The French choreographer has returned to a narrative vein, writing the libretto himself. He builds a magnificently chiselled work using academic vocabulary. The company’s 14 dancers rise to the challenge with brilliance and flair, taking us on a journey through the psychological meanderings of one of the greatest romantic characters. The troupe displays marvellous interpretive skills, and shows that this classical language in the service of a narrative has lost none of its modernity.”
“The renowned choreographer has joined the company for the occasion. Julien Guérin will present his creation, “Un hiver à Majorque” a pas de deux with Norton Fandinel and Karina Moreira accompanied on piano by José Arrue. A reinterpretation of the tumultuous passion between the novelist Georges Sand and the composer Frédéric Chopin.”
